What We Believe
The Bible is the inspired Word of God and is inerrant in its original manuscripts.
There is one God and that He eternally exists in three persons; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
The Lord Jesus Christ is fully God, was born of a virgin, is fully without sin and lived a perfect life.
The Lord Jesus Christ died a substitutionary death to redeem sinners from the penalty for sin, that He raised bodily from the dead, and that He is now seated at the right hand of God the Father.
Every person comes into the world in a fallen, sinful, and lost condition.
Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for salvation.
Salvation is by God’s grace through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone.
The Holy Spirit indwells believers and empowers them to live God-honoring lives.
The church should remember the Lord Jesus Christ weekly in the breaking of bread.
Every person who has trusted in Jesus Christ for salvation possesses eternal life and is secure in Christ for all eternity.
Believers should be baptized in water following conversion. (Valley Bible Chapel observes believer’s baptism by immersion.)
There will be a resurrection of the saved and the lost; the saved to eternal life and the lost to eternal, conscious judgment.
The next prophetic event is the imminent return of Jesus Christ to call His church to be with Him in God’s presence. This event will precede the prophesied tribulation period and the tribulation period will precede the literal and millennial reign of Jesus Christ on earth. Following this 1000 year rule, Jesus Christ will deliver the kingdom to God the Father so that the triune God may be all in all.
